Trickle up would work better than trickle down did and will help the lower and middle class much more than trickle down ever did. It will also help the rich make even more than they do now. why is that? because the poor and the middle class will spend the money and in the end it will end up in the rich people pockets anyway. Lots less anger from the poor and middle class as everyone gets to live better and the republican pets will make even more money in the long run.
Funny but the rich keep figuring out how to screw us in the short term, with the very willing help of congress, and it works for a while but then they have to figure out another way to screw us in the short term, ad infinitum. If they did the trickle up it would work for ever rather than just be a short term scam to get the rich more money.
This means the poor would be able to afford more things. It would mean less people on welfare, more people working at good jobs and paying into social security and the govt would save money. The middle class would save more for kids college, etc. They’d have more money to spend and more money to invest. They would also be paying more into social security. At the lower end of the middle class, those people would be able to move up a bit in the world and be more likely to be able to afford health insurance and better food.
Now you know as well as I do the rich will get their cut just because that seems to be the way money flows. Of course, when the game is rigged by congress that’s to be expected. No matter what I expect the rich will get richer but at least it won’t be on the backs of the poor and the middle class.
Believe it or not the rich created more jobs when their tax rate was 90% than they create now.
Believe it or not, adjusted for inflation, the minimum wage should be $3.00 higher per hour than it is now.
Believe it or not Canada pays very high wages in the auto industry but when they move here they use the same crappy management methods and adversarial style management uses here and they pay the same wages, approx half what the pay in Canada. In Canada it’s unionized yet they seldom have a strike because management and employees work things out. Here they do the same things that don’t work very well as the other big companies do. Funny they don’t figure it out as their Canadian plants are more profitable.
Believe it or not, “we the people” have all the power in this country, we just don’t have anyone leading the 99% that really knows how to use that power. We need to get rid of everyone in Washington and start over with people who have common sense and want what’s best for the country, not what’s best for the rich.
