Lies and liars are everywhere. Everyone tells lies. For the most part they aren’t big lies but social lies to make relationships smoother. White lies are not a big problem for me but they are a small problem. I don’t particularly care for them either but for the most part they aren’t supposed to be harmful.
Most of us know that if our wife or girlfriend asks, “Does this outfit make my butt look big?” the answer to that question is no unless we want to be in a major argument over her butt. Lol, perhaps the truth is her butt is big and the truthful answer would be no but you sure can’t tell her that her pants make her butt look big because it is big. If petite women ask that stupid question and there is only one answer they want to hear, whether it’s true or not.
Another lie that is commonly told is when women ask their man, “Do you ever think about other women?” Once again the answer is no and it had better be a damn quick answer or you are in trouble. It’s another lie. Those two examples are semi acceptable lies and help to have better relationships.
However in the above examples most of the time the people asking the questions can’t deal with the truth and in fact, weren’t expecting any answer but the one they got. Socially we all lie to prevent hurting other peoples feelings.
While I don’t much care for the lies these aren’t the kinds of lies I’m talking about. The kinds of lies I’m talking about are the kind designed to make another person look bad, lies to puff yourself up over other people, lies designed to hurt people or get something you want. The kinds of lies politicians tell all of the time.
Most of us say we don’t like liars. I know for a fact I don’t like liars. They have ho honor or integrity and I don’t trust them. I particularly don’t trust people who lie when they don’t have to. I don’t trust people who lie to get something they want.
Watching the republican debates and primaries all I can conclude is that all of the candidates are huge, over the top liars. Worse yet they are lying to us for their own gain. Even worse yet the sheeple believe the lies even when they know they are lies. What kind of stupidity is that? For me it’s proof that sheeple get the kind of representation they deserve.
When you vote for a liar why are you surprised when they get caught lying, accepting bribes, doing illegal things or otherwise messing up their own lives. You knew upfront they weren’t honorable people, that they were unethical and not worthy of our trust.
Another thing bothers me about all of this. The news programs distribute what they say whether it’s a lie or not. MOF they don’t even label their stories as lies told by a politician. News programs should be interested in truth and should, in fact, be busting every lie they find a politician telling. IMO the hews outlets are not doing their jobs but instead are pawns of the politicians when they promote their lies and let them stand as truth.
I don’t trust liars and I don’t understand why other people do. Why would you vote for a liar? Why would you want someone who is unethical, petty and power hungry to be representing you? Do you really think they are going to do a good job. Why, when you elect a liar, are you so surprised when you get lied to. Your votes elected the liars so you are getting what you deserve.
When the sheeple stop supporting dishonest, unethical, dishonorable liars we may get somewhere with politics. Until then we are gong to have exactly what we have now. A congress full of people who lied their ass off to get there. Seems to me that’s what happens when politics becomes a profession rather than a calling to serve your country and fellow man.
Spin is just another word for lie. Death panels, 10-10-10 won’t hurt the poor, 10-10-10 won’t help the rich, and on and on and on. Spin is a lie colored so it looks good to the people who support you. It’s not the truth. There is something fundamentally wrong with a country that would rather elect liars than people who tell the truth.
Even worse is a lot of the lies politicians tell can be disproven just by reading the record. To lie when it can easily be disproven is stupidity and why the sheeple want to elect stupid people is beyond me. Of course when the lies are disproven people then start hollering about witch hunts, etc.
The one republican candidate that I have a modicum of respect for is Ron Paul. Of course he’ll never be elected but at least he gets a little respect from me. No, I wouldn’t vote for him because a strict interpretation of the constitution at this time would be a total disaster. Not that he’d be able to accomplish that anyway. However I’m not refusing to vote for him because he lied but because I don’t agree with what he wants to do.
Romney, Santorum, Gingrich, Palin, Bachman, limbaugh and others are some of the biggest and most blatant liars around. It’s seems if the sheeple have forgotten that liars are not ethical people and just keep on electing the person who is the best liar. Sheesh, if that isn’t a recipe for disaster nothing is. Not a damn one of those people cares what lies they tell as long as it gets them what they want. Why would anyone in their right mind want someone like that to be president or represent in congress?
How do you tell when a politician is lying? Their lips are moving. 
When it comes to politics I find the democrats are no better than the republicans. Career politicians make a killing, the people and the country gets screwed, the sheeple whine about it and then go elect the next person who tells ever bigger lies.
I hate to tell you this but that’s no way to run a country!
